April 28th, born.
And then a lot of fun stuff happened

Then graduated from high school in 1989.

One very confusing semester of college at UMASS where I learned that probability and statistics were not my strong point.

In 1989 my friend Carrie introduced me to John Casablanca modeling center in Springfield, Massachusetts.

First modeling job was for a scuba gear catalogue. No one has made a snorkel look sexier since.

First Job Ever

Left for New York City, second semester, to pursue a modeling career with Elite Models who I met during a modeling conference.  (Throughout my modeling career I ended up working with several agencies, Company Management is where my career really took off.  I finished my modeling career at the legendary Ford Models.)

The move to New York City was scary, confusing and exciting for such a small town girl.  The first year was filled with modeling tests, go sees and an introduction to nightlife in the big bad city.

A short stint in NYC led me to living and working in London, Milan and Paris.

How did I ever survive without Googlemaps?

Living in Europe was an experience I will never forget. I may not have gotten a traditional education through college, but received an unexpected and priceless education through traveling and life experience abroad.

Somewhere in the late 90s I enrolled in the Cay Michael Patten Acting School in NYC. I did scene study with her for about three years before I started auditioning. I went to acting classes at night so that I could continue doing modeling jobs during the day to support myself.

I was fortunate enough to have a commercial agent (Maury Dimauro) at SEM&M through modeling who took me on as an actor and helped me dip my toes in the business.

I remember being on set of the movie In the Weeds and auditioning for both Sex in the City and Coyote Ugly. Both of which, I ended up getting.  These two projects really kick started my acting career.

I have been blessed with many film opportunities throughout my career working with some of the greats such as Al Pacino, Will Smith, Morgan Freeman, Tim Robbins and Nicholas Cage just to name a few.

The hours on Six Degrees were pretty long and I remember thinking “this would be very challenging if I had kids”.

And then I found out I was pregnant.

The show wrapped and I moved to LA.  I gave birth to a beautiful son named John and lived happily ever after.  Just kidding.

I continued to do films after the birth of my son but found myself looking back toward television to have a more stable location to raise my family.

Luckily my buddy Donnie Wahlberg called me to tell me about a little project called Blue Bloods, a show shooting in NYC about an Irish Catholic family based in the world of law enforcement.  This sounded like the perfect match for me creatively.

It would also bring my son and I closer to family.  A win-win all the way around.

Blue Bloods has been going strong for 9 years and is about to start it’s 10th season!
